1/16/17

1/16/20I7 was working on Brecken’s baby book and Kins came in to watch. She was sitting on my lap and she leaned in and whispered in my ear, “ I love you mommy” then she gave me a kiss on the cheek. Brecken was on the floor and heard her so he came over to whisper something in my ear too. And he leans in a quietly says. “ You are a stinker!” I died laughing!

1/17/2017- Kinsley asked if when I’m a grandma and she is a mommy if we could work somewhere together. I asked her where she would want to work and she said with a big smile…”Maybe Old McDonalds. And we could make the ice cream there!”

1/18/17 - Today I was telling Brecken that I loved him and he said he loved me back. Then I said, " But I love you so much more" He said..." Not even possible!"  Then daddy started laughing and Brecken said, " Daddy I can make you laugh!"-

Kins and Brecken are reading!! It has been so fun. We started a reading chard at home. The get to put a sticker on after each book they read (little Bob books). And once they get to 20 they get to go out for ice cream! Buddy is confident in his reading and rarely misses reads a word. He takes it slow but very accurate.  Kins was determined the first day to read 20 books. I think she ended up with 9 books on the first day. Determined girl. And even though she gets frustrated sometimes she doesn't quite. That girl could read all day. I love it!

Snow Day!

So. Much. Snow! It's insane how much snow we have been getting. It just won't stop! Boise hasn't received this mush snow in thirty years. The kids are loving it though! And I'm loving how pretty it looks. It's a winter wonderland. It's a good time to have a broken toe...when you're practically snowed in and can't go anywhere anyway. But I do wish I could go frolic in the snow. But I guess watching from the couch where Im all bundled up in a blanket will have to do.

Happy New Year!

We had a fun/low-key New Years Eve. We had cheese fondue followed with chocolate fondue. Which is one of our favorite traditions. Then we played some games and had a dance party before ringing in the New Year a little early with the littles (we streamed the ball dropping in NYC from last year....lol.) Then toasted to the new year and made lots of noise with every music maker/shaker the kids could round up. We had a great 2016 and can't wait to see what 2017 has in store!

Mimi and Papa G

Mimi and Papa G came to visit. When they heard I broke my toe they wanted to come to help. We loved having them visit. They even were able to bring their Lularoe clothes with and do couple Live sales. They kids were so excited to help! Kinsley practiced all day  how she was going to sell the skirt. "It's purple and stretchy and really pretty." And Brecken was making up prices for everything...that one is .40 and that one is $100. Good little helpers for sure.

Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas! The kids were so excited when they saw that Santa brought them each a bike and telescopes! Kinsley also got some mermaid stuff and Brecken got a cool garbage truck.  Since there is way too much snow outside we have been letting the kids ride their bikes inside. They are loving it!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve and a Broken Toe

We had an eventful Christmas Eve.  We ate Chinese food at Panda Express with Mimi and Papa K and then drove around to look at Christmas lights. When we got home we opened up Christmas jammies and then watched the Nativity story and read some Christmas books. The kids then set out cookies and milk for Santa. They also sprinkled magic reindeer food out on the snow for Santa's reindeer. Then we went up stairs to see if we could see Santa's sleigh. The kids were so excited and anxious to get to bed. Kins was really worried if she didn't get to bed in time that Santa might not come so she went to bed quickly. I wish I could say that was the most eventful/exciting part of the night. But unfortunately as I was walking down the stairs I tripped on my new pjs and landed weird on my toe and broke it pretty badly. We ended up having our neighbor girl come stay with the kids for a few hours so we could go to the ER. Merry Christmas right?! They had to reset my toe which was super fun! Exactly what I wanted to be doing on Christmas Eve.... We got home around 2:00. We hadn't wrapped a single present. We finally got everything done and went to bed at 5:30. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night...

Happy Birthday Mommy

Can't believe I'm already 33! What?! How did that happen. Crazy I tell ya. I had a great birthday though. I woke up to a yummy breakfast and then Kinsley and I went and got our nails done. When we got home we all played out in the snow. Then that night Cam took me to Le Coq d' or at  Chateau de Fleurs for Dinner. It was the fanciest/most expensive restaurant we have ever been too.  We were the only people there for a while. It felt like we were at Downtown Abey.
